♥ Paul & Joe Intensive Whitening Mask Review

Hello guys^^ How are you all doing? I decided to use one of my sample masks tonight and post some before & after pictures. This claims to control melanin production & protect against UV rays.

Here's the ingredients & instructions on the back.

And the plastic tray the pieces are in. It is really soaked in the serum.

I placed them under my eyes like this for a little over10min & then peeled them off once they were pretty much dry.

(My bf says I look like a panda with them on lol ;p)

So overall~ I think it was pretty nice. It's comfortable, refreshing and very moisturizing. But I didn't really see any immediate whitening effect. Maybe I have to use it regularly in order to see results. Has anyone else tried this mask? What do you think? I've only got one more of these samples left and I'm unsure of whether to repurchase... I bought them individually and on sale for $2.87 each from bobodave.com. But the 10 piece set is about $55 normally. I think that's a little too expensive for not seeing much results.

Hey there ladies~ I stopped by ULTA earlier this week to pick up some new nail polishes. I originally really wanted to get some of the Alice in Wonderland ones but they didn't have the two I wanted... boo T-T. So I saw the pretty OPI Hong Kong collection and decided to grab two of my favorites :)

So this morning I ran the Gasparilla 5k. They gave everyone these neat finishers medals :) I've run this same race the last two years. And today I was hoping to have a decent time since I haven't really been running as often as I should lol. But somehow~ I was able to beat my fastest time! By 2 seconds haha ;p. And today was really cold by us floridians' standards lol and it was raining lightly. But when I was walking to the car it turned into a monsoon. So anyway I'm pretty excited about getting faster in the months to come~ gotta make my bf proud lol! He's racing tomorrow morning so I hope he does well :)

I got two things from the expo yesterday. They have lots of deals on apparel & shoes so it's pretty cool.

I love this pink singlet from K SWISS. The color drew me to it. It was 20% off.

And I got this Asics half-zip for only $30. I think it was originally about $69. The quality is really good. The inside has a soft lining and it's water resistant. It also has a little zip pocket on the shoulder and holes in the bottom of the sleeves to poke your thumbs out lol. I love it :)

Hello there^^ How's everyone's week starting out? I worked all day yesterday & today but tomorrow I'm off *weee~. Oscar and I will be heading over to the new IKEA to purchase some new furniture for our apartment... I'm so excited! I've always wanted to decorate but just never got around to doing it ;p

So anywayssss lol~ I decided to show my hair some much-needed love! I ordered some things from webichi and they came a few days ago :)

Shiseido TSUBAKI Damage Care Shampoo + Conditioner

I ordered samples of these from sasa earlier and I liked it so much, I went ahead and decided to purchase the big pump ones. I like how from now on I can just buy the refills.

KAO Asience INNER RICH Shampoo + Conditioner mini set

I wanted to try this brand cause I've heard lots of good things. I want to compare it to the TSUBAKI. Has anyone tried it? I know it's specially made for asian hair, so maybe it will make the asian half of my hair really nice haha.

And I also got a few LUCIDO-L styling products~

MANDOM LUCIDO-L Designing aqua Hair Curl Lotion

I bought this for when I curl my hair. I have yet to use it but I'm hoping it gives me pretty curls that last :) Has anyone tried this stuff?

MANDOM LUCIDO-L Designing pot #EX Treatment

This is the only one of the designing pots that I've tried. It's for dry/damaged hair. I've been using it everyday on my ends after flat ironing my hair. The texture is really light and non-greasy. It also spreads easily and leaves my ends very smooth, shiny & healthier looking. I'll have to take a before & after picture to show you later. I love this so far :)

This one is for soft airy waves/curls. Can't wait to try it out :)

Hi ladies~ weeeeeee i'm so excited lol because I finally got my hands on some of the Jill Stuart goodies I've wanted for foreverrrr ;p This is what I ordered from BoBoDave.com :

Here's one of the first things I really wanted. It's FANCL HTC Collagen tablets.

As you age, your body produces less collagen, which leads to loss of firmness and wrinkles.

This is a 30 days' supply. You're supposed to take 6 tablets everyday after eating. They're very tiny.

And now on to my Jill Stuart items :

Here is jelly eye color N in #10 vintage decor.

I really adore Jill Stuart packaging.

The texture is different from what I'm used to. I've always used pressed eyeshadows. But this is cool, it's like a whip-mousse-jelly lol. I just pat the top lightly with my finger and spread it easily over my lids.

The pigmentation is really good and you can easily layer it for more intensity. It's also filled with lots of shimmer/glitter. It's so pretty, i'm really in love with it lol. I want to buy the other colors too. And most importantly, it lasts all day with no creasing :) The only thing I've noticed is that the glitter likes to transfer after a long time. So it ends up around my eyes or over my eyeliner. But no biggie lol~

And next is, jelly lip gloss in #01 romantic crystal.

Here's a close up of the applicator.

... and a swatch. This has to be my favorite lip gloss everrr lol. It's not very pigmented but it's nice for everyday or over lipstick. It's super sparkly and just pretty!

And last but not least, mix blush compact in #01 baby blush.

Isn't it just gorgeous?

Here's a close up of the attached brush. The hairs are very soft and it's just the right size for picking up the individual colors or blending them all together.

It's hard to see on my skin, but here are 4 swatches of the individual colors in the same way they are in the compact.

And here they are all mixed together. It doesn't look so bad right now... but on my cheeks I think the color just doesn't suit me. It's too pale. I should've known not to pick baby blush for my skin tone lol. I'll see if I can make it work though... or I'll just have to try another color next time.

I also picked up a couple of samples to try out.

I originally ordered the SK-II cleansing oil sample but it was damaged so they sent me this instead. Unfortunately I don't really like it though. It smells like minty toothpaste and I don't feel like it removes my waterproof eye make up all the way.

I also picked up 3 of these PAUL & JOE Intensive Whitening Masks. It's for the under eye area. I'm really excited to try these tonight. I'll post how it goes~

I also got some samples of COSME DECORTED WHITE-SCIENCE PREMIUM Crystal Tensor & Revolution to try. We'll see how they work :)

They also included a free cosmetics pouch.

They also included this pamphlet for the Spring Jill Stuart collection. I really want the Jewel Crystal Eyes palette in 01 crystal ruby. And the rose fairy mix blush would probly be a better match for me lol.

I've planned: to start purchasing piece by piece new furniture for our apartment. i'm tired of sleeping on a matress on the floor lol.

♥ Sweet x ayu + some retail therapy

Hello there^^ Guess what arrived yesterday morning? *excited* Sweet is probably my favorite japanese magazine. Oh~ if only I could get a subscription... T-T. So basically my favorite magazine + ayu on the cover means I had to get it lol.

In Dillard's I stopped by the MAC & Dior counters.

Had to restock on this beloved stuff. It lasts me about 4 months with using it everyday.

And I wanted to try out their brush cleanser.

I don't even own any MAC brushes but whatever!

And Diorshow Iconic Extreme~

I had high hopes for this stuff... And being more expensive than my usual Diorshow, I was expecting a little more. It just doesn't give me much length, curl, volume or anything lol. I want to say that it's the brush but I'm not totally sure on that. Maybe the bristles are too short? Idk.. but I'll try cleaning my old Diorshow wand and using it with this one to see if it helps any.

And then I stopped in Charlotte Russe to see if there was anything interesting and I ended up with these :

♥ cleansing oil showdown!

Hi everyone! I think it's finally about time that I posted this cleansing oil showdown!

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil

shu uemura cleansing beauty oil premium A/O

and (sort-of) vs

DHC mild touch cleansing oil

DHC's Deep Cleansing Oil was my first! And it's become something I just can't live without. But I'm always up for trying new things. So when I received samples of shu & another DHC cleansing oil, I thought it would be good to try them against my original love lol.

Deep Cleansing Oil is much thicker than shu's and smells like olive oil but I don't mind it at all. Shu uemura's has a light pleasant smell. I think they both work equally well in removing my stubborn waterproof mascara and eye make up. And they both rinse off well without leaving any greasiness behind. As far as price goes, DHC's is cheaper at $25 for 6.7oz while shu uemura's is $32 for 5oz.

Unfortunately, I can't really give a proper review of the DHC mild touch oil because after running the little experiment below I spilled the tiny sample everywhere... T-T

Ok~ so on to my little experiment lol!

Here I smudged waterproof eyeliner (top) & mascara (bottom)

on the back of my hand and let it dry.

Next I dipped 2 cotton swabs in the oils and lightly ran them across.

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil (left) and shu uemura beauty oil premium (right)

They both removed mostly everything very easily.

Then I wet the opposite ends of the cotton swabs with water

and rubbed them across and patted dry.

They both removed everything.

In order to test out the DHC mild touch cleansing oil,

I rubbed the remaining black smudges with it, emulsified it with water,

rinsed and dryed.

It's hard to see, but there are still a few tiny hints of the eye make up.

So maybe my experiment wasn't super scientific... lol. But I've concluded that for me, the first two work equally as well. And that the mild touch oil works pretty decently, so maybe it's best if you don't wear waterproof formulas. It never claimed to remove waterproof make up like the other two do but I just wanted to know if it did. So anyways, I'll be sticking to my first love since it's cheaper haha :)

Hi there^^ I'm back again with another haul... gosh. But this one is really exciting because I got to order some things from sasa.com that I really really wanted :) I'm so happy~ It arrived alot earlier than I expected.

First up I got some My Beauty Diary masks. I've heard tons of great things and so I had to give it a shot. It's my first sheet mask lol.

Sake Yeast Masks

This is supposed to "boost metabolism & skin renewal" with collagen & sake yeast extract.

Red Vine Masks

And this one is supposed to whiten & tighten skin. I'm really excited to try them out^^.

I also got two bottles of lotion:

Naris Up

Skin Conditioner lotion CO with Marine Collagen

The bottle is super huge and was only $5.80!

It says you can use it as a mask so I've been soaking cotton pads like the lady on the front. It's also unscented & feels refreshing on.

JUJU Cosmetics AQUAMOIST

Hyluronic Acid Whitening & Moisture Milky Lotion

This stuff is pretty awesome lol. The texture is a little different than what I'm used to but it absorbs pretty quickly and leaves my skin feeling so soft & moisturized. I've been using it day & night so far after toning. It's also supposed to help brighten your skin and get rid of dark spots. Hopefully it does so over time.

I also decided to try a new facial wash:

KOSE

SEKKISEI SUPREME Washing Cream

I bought the one ounce travel size to compare it with my shiseido white lucent brightening cleansing foam. So far to me they are both pretty similar. This one has a slightly stronger perfume smell and is thicker.

Next, I got a new mask to try:

The Skin Food

Black Sesame Hot Mask

This mask is supposed to open & purify your pores with heat, salt & sugar powder and black sesame extract.

This is another product that I've heard good reviews about. The texture was really sticky/gooey with lots of little chunks and the smell was a bit unpleasant lol. It did have a slight warming feeling. I'll have to use this a few more times to see how I feel.

Since I don't treat my poor hair very well I decided to get this:

SHISEIDO

TSUBAKI Golden Repair Shampoo & Conditioner

I got the travel size to try it out first. It has a light, pleasant smell and I'm sure over time I will like the results. Call me crazy, but I used it for the first time yesterday and my boyfriend & co-worker both commented on how soft my hair looked & felt ;p. I can't wait to purchase the full size :)

I also got a few things from KAI to make my life a little easier lol:

Mascara Guard

This makes applying mascara soooo much easier. I don't have to worry about smudges anymore and it also has an eyelash comb at the bottom.

False Eyelash Applicator

Also makes it alot easier.

Eyebrow Scissors with Comb

Makes trimming my eyebrows much easier since I don't have to hold a comb & scissors separately.

Cotton Puffs

I got a small box of 20.

Here it is compared to my DHC silky cotton (right). The only thing is I get fuzz all over my face with the sasa one. But I can't complain because it was a free sample.

♥ DHC haul *yay!

Hello lovelies~ ♥. I'm uber excited about my DHC package since I got some things that I really needed and also have been just wanting to try for foreverrrr lol. So here it is...

The first thing I got, which you've probly already seen before, is Water Base Moisture.

I use it every morning as toner. And I was down to like one more day's worth >.<

Next I got Extra Nighttime Moisture.

I've been using sample after tiny sample of this and finally I purchased it ;p.
I use it after my cream at night for an extra boost of moisture & softness. It takes a little while to fully absorb but you can really feel a difference the next morning.

And also Olive Virgin Oil.

This is another item that I've been using from samples lol. Love this stuff. It feels a little weird at first to be rubbing oil all over your face, but it makes my skin feel so nice the next morning. It comes in an easy pump container and the bottle is somehow alot bigger than I imagined it to be. Which is a good thing lol. It's on sale now for $29. $10 off~ so if you want to try it, now's a good time :)

And finally, I got Eyelash Tonic.

I've been wanting to try this for a long time. It's supposed to condition your lashes to make them stronger & more elastic. I used it last night and you can also use it under mascara. I'm going to need a few weeks with this to see if I have any improvement. So I'll let you know how it works.

This is one of DHC's most popular products and I've heard alot of good things, so I wanted to try out a sample. It wouldn't replace my MAC primer with SPF, but maybe at night?

This is supposed to help reduce signs of aging and boost your skin's defenses.

I also received another catalogue along with my order that had two more samples of sale items.

Acerola Lotion & Cream.
I was using this every night with other products in the Acerola line until they ran out :(
So since then I've been using the deluxe shu uemura samples that I need to review soon~ It's coming I promise.

Hi there^^ Hope your week is going well~ I've worked a double shift at work for the last two days and now I'm so tired lol... but at least today is my day off *woo hoo*. I did a little bit of shopping to pick up some much needed things!

First from CVS i decided to buy DUO eyelash adhesive. I've been using the samples from my Beauties Factory orders lol.

It's the dark-tone version and is also waterproof. I'll be redoing pictures of my false lash collection, so this will help :)

And now from Wal-Mart, I got these things:

(sorry for the dark pic) nailene nail glue. Since my Beauties Factory glue samples are running empty ;p

(sorry again) My hg maybelline ultra liquid liner. It's inexpensive and great!

BURT'S BEES Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil~

Well the stick was sposed to be the non-blurry one, but whatever lol... My sister uses this & likes it, so I thought I'd give it a try since my Carmex ran out :( It was really nice and felt soothing once I put it on. I don't have the same feeling with this, but we'll see when I wake up how my lips feel.

and last, NIVEA Essentially Enriched body lotion for dryyyy skin. I was using the Dove cucumber melon lotion but it's all gone too. I liked it, especially the scent, but I wanted to try something different.
The texture of this reminds me of sunblock and the smell is like baby oil. Not really feeling it, but it is very moisturizing.

Hellooooo! :) Hope everyone is doing well. Last night my boyfriend and I went out to dinner and watched Sherlock Holmes~. It was pretty good. So I'm going to post my eye make up I did for the night.

It's nothing flashy, just neutral colors with smudgey eyeliner :) My usual eyeliner is liquid but I lost it in the car the other day lol. So I had to improvise... buttt, I found it last night! yay~ Well have a good day! I'll be posting up my DHC package tomorrow ♥♥♥

Hi there lovelies~ I redid my nails today and I wanted to show you :) I was inspired by Guerlain's spring Cherry Blossom collection.

First I used a shimmery pink, OPI's "Cozu-Melted In The Sun", all over. Then painted across it with a dark purple, OPI's "Parlez-Vous OPI?". Smaller and in the opposite direction, I painted over it with a lighter purple: essie's "st. lucia lilac". I painted over the edges with the silver glitter STRIPE Rite added a (hard to see) silver cherry blossom sticker on the thumbs. And finally I added the silver rhinestones. What do you think? :)

Hello there~ I feel like it's been so long away from my blog lol. This past weekend my boyfriend and I spent the weekend in Orlando so he could run the Disney Marathon. It was freeeeeeeeezing cold and I got so sick afterwards x_X... So now I'm almost done recovering now (even though I sound like a man ;p) and it's time to post pics of my new DHC catalogue that came in the mail :)

Here are the new sales for February :

Acerola Lotion & Cream are a part of my daily routine and I'm running dangerously low lol~. But I usually buy the Acerola Essentials set which works out to be cheaper for me than buying them all individually, even on sale. So I will be hauling very soon. It's gonna be an ouch to my wallet since I need to restock on my cleansing oil, water base moisture, acerola set and also pick up the olive virgin oil since it's on sale till the end of this month... :(

Anywho~ now for my sample! Only one this time :

It's Mild Touch Cleansing Oil and is supposed to be shower-friendly so you can use it wet or dry. The only thing is I'm not sure if it will remove waterproof make-up like the regular one does. So I will have to test it out sometime soon and let you know ;p. But maybe it would just be good for no make-up days or when I keep it simple.

This is pretty off-topic but I just wanted to post my new jacket I picked up for the weekend at Dillards lol.

I've always wanted a "leather" jacket so I finally got one :). I was actually looking for a coat but this was the closest I got lol. I was choosing between this and a black cropped one, but I figured that this would be warmer.

Here's a swatch to show you. I just love how pigmented it is ♥♥♥ A little goes a long way and the color is very nice and vivid :)

Hello~ I'm finally ready to post my first nails of 2010 lol! I like the combination of hot pink and black, so this is what I did...

Because of my sucky camera the color is a bit off looking... but it looks just like Barbie pink ;p.

I used OPI "I'm Indi-a Mood for Love" and made bows out of black rhinestones. So what do u think?

I like: that it's finally starting to get colder down here in Florida. Time to go cold-weather shopping :)

Hello there^^ It's my first post of 2010 lol~ So today since I was bored at home I decided to try and copy namie's look from February's issue of VoCE magazine...

The colors are so vivid and pretty so I wanted to try it ;p Here's my take:

Mixed two different yellow/greens from Beauties Factory 120 color palette for inner 1/3 of lid

UD eyeshadow in "Sin" to highlight browbone
Used the same green from the Beauties Factory palette to line lower waterline

So what do you think lol? I realized later that I shouldn't have used mascara on my lower lashes but owellies ;p

Hello there^^ Guess what?! I'm so excited because I finally got a hold of my ayu CDs :) The mail man knocked on the door Tuesday morning and I didn't know it was them because they were wearing normal clothes. So I ignored her... mistake lol. So I had my mom pick the package up at the post office today~

I ordered from CDJapan this time since I got an offer for free shipping with a $20 purchase. I also had a $5 off coupon and 300 points worth 300yen (i'm so cheap)... ;p

I got ayu's new single You were.../BALLAD CD only version :)

The first press got a changeable jacket cover~ It's so pretty!

And this is the bonus poster. It's kind of small but so lovely!

I also decided to buy Duty album to add to my collection that I will post one day.

I love them all, but this is one of my favorites~

So can you believe it's already the end of 2009?! Where did the year go lol~

I usually like to celebrate by going out and watching fireworks :) So I had to buy a new outfit to wear~

I stopped by Charlotte Russe with my sister and picked up a few things.

I LOVE this sweater! It was only $8 and I found it on the floor lol.

It's really loose and I love all the holes ;p

and this is what I'll be wearing New Years Eve :) It was only $11.

It's so lovely and it has a little flower too~ I'll post my whole outfit later.

These are the earrings I bought to match my top. The jewelry was 2 for $8 so why not lol.

And last I got these to match the purple sweater :)

I loveeee them. They're pretty big too.

Mine probly sound a little weird but usually at my house my mom would have my sister and I open all the windows, doors & cabinets. I guess so all the old can go out and the new in. We also put coins in our pockets and shake it and make lots of noise when it hits midnight. My mom says it will bring us good money luck. I sure hope sooo~ lol! She also says to wear red or polka-dots (not doing that this year though...). And finally we eat 13 round fruits~ yummm!

For this I used essie's "blanc" all over and then OPI's "Happy Anniversary!" on the tips and dragged it down halfway. It added a subtle silver shimmer that I topped with some silver star stickers & rhinestones.

This year at work we decided to do Secret Santa :) It was alot of fun~ And my secret santa, Steph, spoiled me rotten with these awesome gifts ↓

This is the exact same gloss that I got with my shu uemura friends & family haul. It is really pretty, the only thing that slightly bothers me is the scent. It's a really nice perfume smell except for I feel like I'm eating perfume everytime I breathe in lol. I would prefer lip products to be unscented or fruity.

I didn't think I would be getting a sample since it didn't let me choose at checkout. I would give this to my bf but he doesn't use this kind of stuff lol. It smells nice though~

Hello~ I'm finally going to post about my little trip to Bath & Body Works. I just love that store because it smells so great lol.

So my main reason for going in was because I desperately needed body scrub and lotion lol. Also I had this awesome coupon for a free item up to $13 value :)

So the first thing I got was the Body Scrub in Cucumber Melon ↓

This is my all time favorite bath scent. It's just so fresh & sweet smelling~

Here's a closer look.

I've tried it once so far and really loved it. It wasn't too rough or too oily either. And it contains aloe, jojoba & almond oils. After a while the little sugar crystals dissolved on my skin and left it nice & moisturized with a light scent. I'm going to use this twice a week :)

Since the Signature Collection was Buy 2, Get 1 I decided to pick up two Body Butters also.

Body Butter in Cucumber Melon ↓

This contains shea & jojoba butter and oat, rice & soybean oils.

I've been using this every night after my shower and guess what? No more ashy, dry skin lol :) It's perfect for the combination of winter + my super hot showers I like to take. This stuff is super thick and moisturizing, so I like to use it while my skin is still damp. Otherwise it's kinda hard to spread.

Another thing I picked up was the Anti-Bacterial Gentle Foaming Soap in Black Raspberry Vanilla ↓

It kills germs & smells heavenly lol~

This stuff was actually in the bathroom of a restaurant I went to recently, and I decided I wanted it. It was on sale for $3 instead of $5 :)

And now for my free item coupon~ I got Lambie room slippers ↓

Aren't they adorable?! This is size medium for shoes 7-8. They are so soft inside :)

Hello~ I just updated my nails the other day. This one is pretty similar to my last one since I used the same nail seal set but whatever lol.

I used essie's "mint candy apple" from the winter collection (even though these look like spring style ;p). Then I simply added the floral stickers and silver rhinestones.

I also received another set of nail seals in the mail from Beauties Factory. I don't know why I'm getting them, since I didn't order them lol. It has my name on the packages so I'm assuming that they were samples from my previous purchases???

Hello~ I just updated my nail art :) I got really annoyed with the last one because all the stones kept falling off! I received some nail seal/stickers in the mail from Beauties-Factory and they were so cute I just had to use them ;p

I used two coats of the new essie polish I picked up, "curtain call" ♪ kikoete ru watashi no koe ga~ ♫ lol.
Then I used the lacy nail seals on the tips and cut away any bit that was hanging off. And I finished up by placing pink rhinestones in the middle :) I love them!

Hello everyone^^ I just stopped by ULTA earlier today to pick up some essie nail polishes and use my rewards certificate.

Both pencils draw a nice, intense black line and they have similar creamy textures. As far as the water swabbing test goes, Urban Decay's smudges pretty easily but MUFE's doesn't budge. This is really important since I use these for my water line and I don't want to look like a racoon lol ;p. And finally, they both remove easily with my cleaning oil.

So MUFE wins :) I already knew it would since I bought it cause I wasn't happy with Urban Decays. But I just wanted to do a little experiment anyway lol. Hope it helps anyone thinking of buying one of these^^

The first is Ceramide Cream. It's described as a highly moisturizing, thick cream for normal to dry skin. Contains 100% botanical ceramide, vitamin E and olive oil. I will probably use it for a boost of hydration to the areas of my face that get extremely dry in the winter like my chin and around my mouth.

The last one is Extra Concentrate. It's described as a concentrated collagen treatment to help fight fine lines and sun damage. I'll give this a try on my forehead and between my eyes.

♥ Mascara showdown~ & MUFE Sens'Eyes review

Hello~ Today I decided to finally try out the MAKE UP FOR EVER Smoky Lash mascara that came in the MUFE Best of kit I bought during my Sephora friends & family haul. I put it up against my hg DiorShow waterproof :)

So what do you think? For me, the MUFE Smoky Lash was not so bad. I would consider wearing it, if it were waterproof. They do have an Aqua Smoky Lash mascara but many of the reviews on Sephora.com say that no matter what, it still gives you raccoon eyes lol.

The MUFE mascara seems blacker than Dior's and I would say that they both lengthen my lashes the same. It's kind of hard to see from the pictures but MUFE's is slightly clumpier and Dior's seperates my lashes better.

Overall I would say that the MUFE Smoky Lash is a good mascara but I like my DiorShow better ;p. I can't say anything about the staying power of it though since I removed it right after. So I'm not sure how long or how much it will take for the MUFE to smudge.

I removed both of the mascaras using the MUFE Sens'Eyes waterproof eye makeup remover that I also got with the set.

The texture is like light gel. It was very strange since I'm so used to using my oil cleanser. I applied it to a cotton ball and pressed it against my lashes for a few seconds. Then I wiped any remaining smudges away.

For the MUFE mascara it removed fairly easily. The DiorShow waterproof mascara was obviously a little harder though. I had to soak my lashes longer and do it a second time just to remove the black smudges all over my eyes. Really the only bad thing about it was that it stung my eyes.

I still prefer to use my oil cleanser since I can just remove everything on my face at once and it works better for me. No stinging, having to rub, or leftover mascara smudges.

♥ Great drugstore buys

I've tried a couple of different drugstore eyeshadows from brands like Revlon, Maybelline, Max Factor and L'Oreal. Most of the time I wasn't happy with pigmentation or lasting power. All the lighter colors just didn't show up on my skin and after a few days the eyeshadows would get hard... >_< I'm not saying that all drugstore eyeshadows are bad, I've just not been able to find many that pleased me.

However, one day I picked up some of L'Oreal HIP's eyeshadows back when it first came out because I heard that they were good quality and someone compared them to MAC's. I was really happy with them! They actually showed up on my eyes ;p.

I updated my nails last night so I just thought I'd share while they're still fresh lol.

These were pretty simple~ I just used a sheer light pink, essie "my private cabana", all over the nail. Then I made pink blobs with OPI "I'm Indi-a Mood for Love" and finished by making brown lines around the blobs with essie "chocolate kisses".

Hello there! Well as I'm sure you probably already know, Sephora is having their 20% off Friends & Family event right now. I was so~ excited because there are quite a few things that I've been wanting. I'm a little late on this post but here's everything I picked up :)

wow~ when it arrived, it was like christmas lol ;p More pics and some reviews after the jump!

One thing that I really wanted was MAKE UP FOR EVER's Aqua Eyes pencil eyeliner. I also wanted to try out their HD microfinish powder. So when I saw this set they had for only $2 bucks more than the price of those 2 products combined, I decided to pick it up :)

Here's a closer look at all the goodies inside:

I use this to set my makeup. It's 100% mineral silica and although it's white in appearance, it goes on completely transparent. It is also supposed to have a mattifying effect. I love this! I have been using it everyday and I do believe that my makeup lasts longer and I have less shine.

The set also included a travel size HD microperfecting primer. I haven't used this yet because I prefer a primer with a high SPF. I'll probably try this out the next time I go out at night.

*eek~ this pic came out bad lol. This is a sample size of Sens'Eyes Waterproof Sensitive Eye Cleanser. I'll have to do a proper review on this later on and see how it stands up to removing waterproof mascara. I usually just use my DHC cleansing oil to remove everything but this may make it easier.

Here's the Aqua Eyes pencil in #0L. I'm replacing my Urban Decay 24/7 pencil with this. The texture is still nice and soft but it lasts alot better. I use it along my waterline and lower lashes and by the end of a long work day, I have very little smudging except for maybe along the outer edges.

The last thing of the set is the Smoky Lash mascara. Here's a close up of the wand. I prefer waterproof mascaras because I'm paranoid about becoming a racoon, but I'll still be trying this out.

I also picked up the pencil sharpener and HD kabuki brush from MAKE UP FOR EVER.

It has two sizes and the clear top removes.

I LOVE this brush! It is ridiculously soft lol. The bristles are made of super thin nylon and it comes in a convenient little black zip pouch. I bought it to use for applying the microfinish powder.

Another thing I got was NARS blush in Orgasm.

I've heard all the hype about this blush and so I had to try it out for myself. It's packed with gold glitter and adds a pretty but subtle glow to my cheeks. Prior to this, the only blush I had was Urban Decay's in Fetish. It's pretty but a little to dark. I like this one a lot better.

I have been in need of a new foundation for I don't even know how long! So I really wanted to try out Yves Saint Laurent's Matt Touch Compact.

Isn't it such a beautiful case? And it also comes with a nice black pouch to keep it in.

This photo is not a great representation of the color. After a lot of thinking, I decided to go with the color 05 peach. Luckily it was a pretty good match for me. It goes on a little light but blends in to match very well.

When you flip up the tray, there's a holder for the sponge applicator. You can also buy refills for this foundation which is a nice plus! It has SPF 20/PA++ and is supposed to leave a long-lasting matt finish. I am very happy with this purchase! The powder goes on smoothly and although it does accentuate dry areas, that can be fixed with some good moisturizer. I can be at work all day and really never need to blot. I don't know if it's this foundation or the microfinish powder, but the combination is working for me :)

I also decided to pick up Shiseido's Ultimate Sun Protection Cream SPF55/PA+++.

I wanted this to use for days at the pool/beach or for running because it claims to be very water resistant. I tried it out today and the texture is liquidy but rubs in very easily. It also has a very strong perfume smell. It's nice but a little overwhelming at first.

My hands have been really dry lately for some reason, so I decided to pick up Yu-Be moisturizing skin cream.

I've heard that this works really well so I wanted to try it. It does have a strong medicine-like smell at first but it goes away after a few minutes. It's kept my dry hands nice and smooth and it's small enough to keep in my bag.

Another thing I wanted really bad was shu uemura's eyelash curler.

It doesn't pinch me and it seems to fit my eyes well so I'm happy~

I also had to repurchase my HG mascara Diorshow waterproof. I was scraping for the last bits in my old one and it had become clumpy.

I also picked up a Dior Addict Ultra Gloss Reflect.

The color is Pink Liberty and it's really pretty on. My lips are kind of dark so I will use this over pink lipstick or after concealing my lips.

Another thing I just had to have is one of Guerlain's Rouge G Jewel Lipstick Compact.

Isn't the case just awesome! You pull the lipstick out and the cover flips open into a mirror~ This thing is just gorgeous to look at. I got color Galia 03. It's such a pretty rosy nude. I'm usually not really a fan of lipstick unless it's sheer pinks or nudes, so this is perfect.

Since I'm on lips, I also wanted to post the lovely gift that milk&cookie sent me for forwarding them the Sephora brushes they wanted :)

The flavor is Strawberry Sorbet and it tastes so~ yummy lol. I love it, it's so soft and creamy. Thanks so much!! ♥♥♥

Hello there~ I did a new nail look again this week with some new polishes that I got ↓

I kept it pretty simple again this time. I used OPI nail polish in "Black Onyx" and added the gold star stickers. Then I drew on the gold lines with STRIPE Rite. Unfortunately, I don't really like them too much lol. But maybe it's cool for halloween ;p

I also recently picked up a few things from ULTA, Sally's, Beauties Factory & TATCHA.

First from ULTA, I used my $5 off coupon to buy some OPI nail polishes that were Buy 2, Get 1. They're normally $8.50 each, but after that and the coupon I only paid $12 total for 3. I love getting deals lol :)

I ordered my sister's birthday gift online from Beauties Factory and along with it, I decided to buy more rhinestones for nail art.

It was only $3.39 for 1200 multi-color round rhinestones and it came with a free nail glue.

They also included some free samples of their false eyelashes & press on nails.

The style of these remind me of the Makeupforlife.net lashes in "Babydoll" but shorter in length.

Unfortunately the quality of these don't seem too great. It's like really cheap thin flexy plastic and the design is faded.

And finally, after reading Phyllis' review of TATCHA Aburatorigami oil blotting papers I decided to buy them. The packaging and papers themself are so~ beautiful! I was thinking of buying boscia's blotting linens until I saw these ;p

It was $12 for one set of 30.

Hello~ I've been away for a while and haven't updated... but I'm back now. The 13th was my 22nd birthday and so my boyfriend and I spent the long day at SeaWorld :) I know I could have gotten into Disney for free but I wanted to change it up at the last minute. So I coughed up the dough and went here instead. I went once when I was really little but I don't remember a thing ;p

So this is what Oscar got me ↓

It's a cute hello kitty bottle to use for when we go out running or biking :) He knows how much I love her lol.

And I also got a new watch! It's a light purple Timex for running ♥ The one I had before was the Nike+ sportsband and it didn't have a light or do splits. So this is much nicer. He likes to get me running gifts cause he's big on running and wants me to be healthy lol.

My mom gave me money and I haven't yet received my gift from my little sister yet since she's in NY. Looking forward to it :) lol

This isn't exactly a bday gift but I picked it up Monday because I had completely run out. I can't go outside without this stuff lol.

I highly recommend it :) The texture is creamy and it goes on clear. I swear my makeup lasts longer and it helps a bit with oil control. My nose still always get shiny but whatever lol. I love the high SPF. That's why I needed it so bad for the next day. It was ridiculously hot at SeaWorld and I somehow managed to not get burned :)

♥ another DHC haul...

I know, I'm terribly obsessed w/DHC right now -_- ! I decided to use their free shipping offer one more time to pick up a few goodies since I got paid :)

This is Water Base Moisture. I purchased this to use as my AM toner. This way I can stop using the Acerola Lotion. The texture is watery lol and it feels very hydrating.

I also picked up their Facial Scrub. I received a sample of this with my last catalogue and have been loving it ever since! It's a silver/metallic color with tiny beads from apricot seeds to help exfoliate. The beads are very small and smooth. So it feels heavy-duty but not like it's scratching up your face. I'm using this once a week, before cleansing and my face feels incredibly smooth after. Love.

And the last goodie I got was the Mineral mask. I also had a sample of this before I bought it. It's thick and very green lol. I also use it once a week, before toner. You just have to leave it on for five minutes and then rinse. For me it's non-drying and my face feels great after.

♥ Nail deco : Simple sheer pink w/chocolate tips

Hello everyone! I just decided to updated with my new nails for the week. This time it's pretty simple.

I used two coats of essie nail polish in shop till i drop all over the nail and used essie chocolate kisses for the tips. Then I added a golden crown sticker to the thumbs and placed a pink rhinestone in the middle.

I kinda feel like they're too plain but oh well lol. If only I had a nice gold nail color... ;p I would've used it to line the border b/w the two colors on the other nails. Well ULTA is having a Buy 2, Get 1 sale on OPI nail polishes, so I think I'll be picking up a few new things :)

Since DHC is offering free shipping until October 12th, it was the perfect opportunity for me to restock on my beloved Acerola Lotion. I'm down to the very last droplets lol.

I'm currently using DHC's Pure Soap, but I decided to try this out because it should be more moisturizing. I'll be using this for the dry winter months ahead :) It has a light olive scent and makes my face just as squeaky clean as the other.

With every online order you can choose up to four samples. I chose two of the Extra Virgin Olive Oil and two Extra Nighttime Moisture. I plan on purchasing these two on my next DHC haul. ♥ Nail deco : Blue polka dots

Hello there! Well I finally did a nail design with new essie polishes I bought the other day.

I used OPI Start to Finish as base & top coat. Then I used essie midnight cami all over the nails. For the french tip on the thumb and the polka dots I used essie blanc. The dots were made using the dotting tool I got from Sally's. Then I applied a silver bow sticker to the thumb and placed a rhinestone in the middle. How cute!

I'm very happy with all of these colors and I can't wait to try out some new nail deco with the rhinestones I bought^^. So look out for that this weekend. shop till i drop & my private cabana were still a little too sheer even after 2 coats. But I'll figure something out. They're still very pretty though :)

Each bottle usually costs $8 each. But after the buy 2 get 1 and my $3.50 off coupon, everything came out to about $30 with tax. So I ended up paying only $5 for each one. Nice deal I think :)

I'm so happy with these! My lashes are so short & thin and mascara can only do so much lol. Cutie Pie worked really well for my bottom lashes. They made them look thick and perfect yet still very natural. I also really love the length that Au Naturale & Babydoll gave me. They're perfect for everyday and not over the top. Diva, on the other hand, is outrageously long and thick. I love it! They give me the kind of lashes you can only find on models in mascara ads lol. Whenever I'm going out, I'll be wearing these :) And my favorite pair is Hugs 'n Kisses! Since the hairs criss-cross, they not only give me great length but also make them look nice and full.

♥ DHC catalogue & samples / sunscreen review

Hello again :) So I just recieved my October DHC catalogue in the mail. I always look forward to them every month since they come with usually two free samples of their on-sale items.

This is the page with their sales for this month and nexts. And the two samples I got this month were: Facial Scrub and Rich Moisture.

I already plan on purchasing the Facial Scrub with my next order so it's nice to get a small sample to try out first. I'll give it a try tonight and let you know how it is.

Since I don't have dry skin, I guess I'll be using the Rich Moisture sample to moisturize some dry spots like around my mouth and cheeks. Or since I may need a more intense moisturizer for the winter perhaps this would work even though I'm usually more oily.

Now on to my sunscreen review of Neutrogen UltraSheer DRY-TOUCH SUNBLOCK SPF 70

This is my second one lol. So I would have to say I really like this sunblock. I live in sunny Florida and everyday especially during the summertime, I can feel the sun burning up my skin lol. I also tan VERY easily and I hate it! My arms are always darker than the rest of me (especially my left side from driving in the sun). So sunscreen is very important to me! In fact it should be for everyone because reguardless of rain or shine harmful UV rays are always taking a toll on your skin.

You're supposed to apply it at least 15 min. before sun exposure. The texture is creamy and it really does absorb quickly. As long as you rub it in well, it is sheer and you wont get any white streaks. It also isn't greasy but I do feel that it is a little dry. So before I put this on I usually use a moisturizing body lotion to help it spread easier. It is pretty waterproof but once when I got stuck in a heavy rain storm, I was definately dripping white drops all down my arms lol. So I'm not too sure about going swimming with this one. The only other downside I'd say is the smell. It's really not all that bad, but it does lightly have that sunscreen smell. You have to be really really close to smell it and it goes away after a while.

So overall I'd say 4 out of 5. It's great for everyday use, easy to apply & small enough to take in your purse with you for reapplication.
